When going into this project I decided on finding a way to highlight various stereotypes within various music genres. As a result, each image highlights various stereotypes with the clothes being worn, the props present, and the way the image is edited. For example, the extra graininess on the grunge one or the idea that every metalcore band has a game-streaming side hustle. Then given the fact I was stuck at home when trying to photograph, I wanted to find a way to recreate the background function in Zoom calls. Everything in the photographs were taken with the camera, I just had to get creative while photographing. In the end, this project evolved to attempting to combine the digital world with the physical world in order to create a new scene while stuck at home.
